You arrive tense from the week. The gate closes behind you. By the second morning the oak is doing most of the work.

A villageyou canactually book.
A quiet courtyard inlaid with Augusta Block pavers - dug from rich Georgia earth, fired almost to stone, shipped across the South, laid by hand. An elegant pair of historic Victorian houses, whose deep, honey-amber heart pine floors whisper of the harvested heart of the Southern longleaf forest - milled into boards, laid by hand, and preserved through generations. And that's just what's under your feet.
Park once. Drop your bag.
Exhale.
A latte at the porch. Your room is a few quiet steps across a courtyard inlaid with brick pavers. Downtown, the spa, and the courtyard fire — all already on the property, all already yours.

Choose your kind of slow.
Whether you're staying the weekend, slipping in for an afternoon ritual, gathering the people who matter to you, or just wandering in for a coffee on the porch — the village is open.

Hand-built.
One of a kind.
Unmistakably downtown Gainesville — galleries, restaurants, and the rail-trail are all a short walk away. Then quiet again by nine, with the live oak above and the city held at arm's length.
Six rooms, no two alike. A spa wing for the body. A porch for the morning and the evening. A courtyard for everyone in between.
“Every corner has a cool detail like art in every nook and cranny which adds soooo much CHARACTER. The renovations are gorgeous and classy. So thankful for this location and the hospitality of the owner.”

You won't move
the car all weekend.
Depot Park is one minute out the door. The Hippodrome is eight. Downtown dinner is ten. The Swamp is twenty-five on foot or six on a scooter. Park once, walk everywhere.

Coffee at sunrise.
Wine at dusk.
The yellow Victorian across the courtyard is our coffee-and-wine porch. Lubans Coffee in the morning. Natural wines, craft beer, and zero-proof pours by the time the string lights come on. Pull up a porch chair — the bar is for guests and the neighborhood both.
- · Lubans Coffee partnership · pour-over & espresso
- · Natural wines · craft beer · mocktails
- · Open to overnight guests and the neighborhood

The kinds of evenings people come back for.
We're a small team in a new chapter. Rather than borrow words from someone else, here's what a stay, a ritual, and a gathering tend to look like in practice.
An hour of quiet, careful bodywork in a warm wood-paneled room. You leave slower than you came.
One long candlelit table down the brick pavers. Friends still talking about it weeks later.
Verified guest reviews will appear here as we re-open under the new format.

The Florida Room.
Top floor of the sage Heron House. A real cook's kitchen on one side, a Queen bed under the TV on the other, and up one more flight — a marble wet-room bath with a stainless multi-jet shower panel and a curved tile bench. The bath is the reason this room exists.
- · Marble wet-room with multi-jet spa shower panel
- · Full kitchen — gas range, full fridge, granite counters
- · Queen Tempur-Pedic, beadboard ceiling, sage walls
The Treehouse Suite.
A standalone sage cabin lifted a full story above the courtyard. The whole second floor is yours — two Queen bedrooms, each with its own electric fireplace, a long farmhouse kitchen that seats six, and two screened porches set deep in the live-oak canopy with Spanish moss draping right onto the screens.
- · Two bedrooms · sleeps 4 · two Queen Tempur-Pedics
- · L-shape kitchen, gas range, side-by-side fridge, dining for six
- · Multi-jet hydromassage spa shower with pebble-stone floor
- · Two screened canopy porches · the only multi-bedroom room in the village
From $79/night · sleeps 4 · stairs-only entry (second-floor cabin)

Six rooms. Two Victorians. One treehouse. Two containers.
Every room has a name, a character, and at least one detail that punches above the price.
Considered rituals — bookable on their own.
You don't need to be staying overnight. Day visits are welcome by appointment.

Heart-Pine Bodywork
Slow, grounding 60- or 90-minute massage in a warm wood-paneled room.

Quiet Restoration Ritual
Linen, beeswax, eucalyptus, breath. Thirty quiet minutes you can drop into a stay or a day visit.

Cedar Sauna Reset
Heat, eucalyptus, contrast cold. A simple sequence built for the day after travel or training.
One long table. One ancient tree.
The courtyard is built for the kinds of nights you remember for years. A single long table down the brick pavers, beeswax candles, eucalyptus down the centre, string lights crossing between the oak branches.
Showers, birthdays, reunion dinners, post-game recovery mornings, retreats. Wine and craft beer available — but the focus stays on the people.

Walkable to downtown — but you'd never know.
A few blocks from downtown Gainesville's restaurants and the university corridor — but tucked behind two historic Victorians, palms, and a wall of bamboo. The street disappears the moment you turn onto the brick lane.

Do I have to stay overnight to use the spa?+
No. Day visits and ritual-only bookings are welcome — Tuesday through Sunday, by appointment. Staying overnight simply lets you settle in longer.
How big can a gathering be?+
Seated dinners up to about 18 guests at one long table. Standing receptions up to about 30. For larger groups we recommend a full property buyout.
Can we drink wine or beer at our gathering?+
Yes — wine and craft beer are available through the property's license. Service stays calm and hospitality-focused; the focus is the gathering, not the bar.
Can we reserve the whole property?+
Yes. Full buyouts pair beautifully with private wellness retreats, multi-night family events, and curated dinners.
How quickly will I hear back?+
Right away — call our concierge at (352) 555-0142 to talk to a person, or book online for instant confirmation.
Is the property accessible?+
The brick courtyard, the Heron House front porch, and the Buddha Room are step-light. The Florida Room, Downtown Studio, and Treehouse Suite are reached by stairs. Tell us your needs and we'll match you to the right room.
